Still going through the same old crap. I had hoped this would be the year, but so far, uh uh. At least I have the kids and this PAC to focus on, gives me something to feel productive about.
CC It is a big world Do not let it get you down Reach out and grab the brash ring and give it a ride I believe and pray that you will overcome the B S this earth has to give out
Thanks for your contributions CC, is the next meeting on the 6th? And where are you gals meeting now? And do you have a speaker planned for that meeting?
I've not received the Agenda yet for next meeting. As far as I know there will be a guest speaker, but I don't know who it is. We are also meeting in the Cafeteria of the Administration building on 29th street.
When I get the Agenda, it will be posted on the PAC website.

The previous Superintendent nixed the forum. Her influence carried over to the officers of PAC and they do not feel that a forum could be properly maintained at this time. I am working on eventually talking them into it. We need another venue to get the parents involved, and I believe a forum would be a great way to do this. I am not alone in this thought, but together we still don't have enough influence to return the forum at this time.
I didn't get a copy of tonight's Agenda, but I wanted to let people know that the public meeting for the Parents Advisory Council will be meeting at 6pm in the old south-side middle school building on 29th street. The meeting will be held in the Cafeteria.
The guest speaker at our PAC meeting this past Tuesday was the head of the AFT, Rick Muir. Here is a comment made by a parent who attended the meeting.
I attended the Parents Advisory Committee meeting tonight at the 29th st school. It was a good and informative meeting and I learned a great deal about how things actually are. I am excited with a new program to help with new teachers and also to help with problems that veteran teachers may be having. This program may also help weed out problem or poor teachers that cannot cut it.
The parent was speaking of the Toledo Plan, or what is being dubbed as PAR-Peer ***istance Review. I expect to receive some material on it which I will then post to the ACSC-PAC website for the public to go over. This is an exciting program, especially for parents who have concerns over the education that is being provided by some teachers in our school system.
