This one is a little different....
Two Different Versions! ................. Two Different Morals! OLD VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The gr***hopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The gr***hopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold. MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself MODERN VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long , building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The gr***hopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering gr***hopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving. CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering gr***hopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor gr***hopper is allowed to suffer so? Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the gr***hopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.' Acorn stages a demonstration in front of the ant 's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Rev. Jeremiah Wright then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the gr***hopper's sake. Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the gr***hopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share. Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Gr***hopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar. The story ends as we see the gr***hopper finishing up the last bits of the ants food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow. The gr***hopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood. MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010. Don’t believe everything you think. |

Come on Mike, another diatribe against the Democrats and the Democratic Party as usual. The Democrats have never made the money off of graft as the Republicans have. But Mike I want you to give me 5 answers about your Grand Old Party. After presidents Ford, Nixon, Reagan, Bush 43, and after 8 long corrupt year of George W. I want you to tell me 5, just 5 things the Republicans have done for the common working man and working woman, their families and our country. If one of them is tax cuts, tell me just money you got back. I don't think you can give me 1 let alone 5. How 10 easy question, what have the Republican Party done for the super-rich, the corporations, the banks, Wall Street, and the Military Complex. I think you can all 10.

NOTHING YET. Your party won't let them. But I think that you have made them mad enough to quite trying to to reason with you people. I hope you are enjoying your Social Security, your medicare, your VA and if you have to go to a nursing home medicade. I'll bet over half of your income now, is from Social Security. I know you know what party got this for you. Remember FDR and the Democrats. Remember when ole George W. Bush went all over the country to try to get you to put your Social Security in the STOCK MARKET and let the market and Wall Street take care of it. Arn't you glad that didn't happen. I lost over $62,000 of my retirement fund when George W. took the regulation off the banks and the stockmarker and Wall Street and they bankrupe. But enough of this, you still haven't answered my questions. You Republicans have no answers. Do You?

The democratic party has majorities in the house and senate. They can p*** any legislation they want to as seen by the healthcare bill signed by President Obama. I think, if they really believe the things they say they would be getting them done instead of sitting around blaming republicans for their lack of progress.
